1. Bring a decent size pot with a lot of water to a low boil.
2. Scramble a couple really fresh eggs with nothing added to them.
3. Make a whirlpool in the boiling water with a spoon and pour the eggs into the center.
4. Cover the pot and cook for 20 seconds.
5. Strain into a mesh sieve, don't pour water over the eggs.
6. Plate the eggs, put a pad of butter on top and season with sea salt/pepper.

Roast garlic in the oil you fry the eggs in, add a little black and white pepper, a pinch of oregano and dip the yolk in some high quality toasted bread. Have the same problem as you OP, my eggs always go cold and I want to keep them light but make them flavorful. OP, even if you don't like eggs now, you will. Try every way of preparing them, here's a few ones but there are so many more
hard-boiled
soft-boiled
scrambled eggs
fried egg
poached egg
deviled eggs
omelet
egg salad
eggs baked in bread rolls/tomato
And a dinner recipe, roughly translated from Polish, it's something like "egg frikadeller" (no meat)
Makes 12-16 frikadeller
* 10 hard boiled eggs
* 2 uncooked eggs
* 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
* Half to whole a dry bread roll soaked in milk
* Spices and chives
Mince hardboiled eggs and the bread roll, add the uncooked eggs, spices and chives. Add breadcrumbs if needed. Make tablespoon-sized frikadeller and roll them in breadcrumbs. Fry golden on both sides.

I buy my eggs from either the health food store (because they get them from a local, free range farm) or the farm down the road from my house (but if you don't get there early, they run out),whichis also free range. They are $8 and $7 respectively, per dozen.
But they are great eggs, and the difference is palatable, plus it's better for the chickens, the farmers, the environment, the local economy, and me.

When I was in my late teens however my family moved out to the countryside and our neighbors a mile and a half down the road raised chickens and we would get two dozen a week from them. Best eggs I ever had, with a thick, rich almost orange yolk. I loved those eggs almost as much as a good cut of meat.

I don't eat eggs very often anymore, but when I do I always make sure that they're raised by someone I know, it increases the quality greatly. If you don't have access to something like that I don't really know what advice to give you though, sorry.

It's all opinion. I mean you could properly hardboil eggs and make sure they don't overcook, or if you like them softer attempt a soft boil. Make a custard, make a sauce, make a nog, or cook sunny side up, over easy, over hard, scramble and use milk to stop the cooking process right before they look done. I mean there's a lot you can do with eggs, but it's all about how you like them.

Personally, I want my yolks to be like custard. As long as they get tempered around 150-160 there's no real risk of salmonella.

you're a fucking idiot who doesn't know anything about what you're spouting, and I've had eggs from a better source and they where amazing. you basically decided to only buy those better eggs, and to satisfy your ego, you made up a bunch of reasons why you dont like other eggs when you have no clue what they are or what they represent

sorting is meaningless, someone already covered this,

the shell thickness has nothing to do with egg quality, instead it has to do with if you clean your eggs for bacteria, which eats away and makes the shell more brittle at the cost of keeping them cleaner, the downside is you must fridge them more carefully, but you have less to worry about from contamination when they are stored and used properly

viscosity of the egg is maybe the only thing that might have some substance to it though. but seriously, get off your high horse unless you know why you are up there.

I hate eggs. I might eat them with a shitton of sauce or other things mixed into them, but they are so disgusting to me I just can't.

I like eggs a lot, I just rarely feel like eating them.
You know when you have something that is super concentrated? Like usually something that is so sweet that your body just rebels against consuming it, or something impossibly oily?
Eggs are like that for protein. I'll eat eggs, enjoy them a lot, start not enjoying them and by the time I'm done never want to eat another one ever again.

mix them with something that masks the flavor/texture, like fried rice.

Six Minute Egg. Put your eggs in a pot of boiling water for six minutes. Put into an ice bath. Peel them and put them on a piece of whole grain toast. Break them to let the yoke out. Add salt, pepper, chives, hot sauce (my favorite is Cholula).

Enjoy. Shit's fucking delicious.

What don't you like about them? Flavour? Texture? The idea that they are a single, sex cell that came out of near the butt? The fact that they are also direct descendants of dinosaurs? What?

Might help in answering.

I could see it going good and I don't care for eggs unless they have cheese maybe egg and melted cheese over fried potatoes

>> No.6881980

I only like eggs if they're central to the meal. French toast, eggs and ground sausage, or soft boiled eggs for ramen.
