I was just saying how to game the system a bit. I'm guessing it mostly depends on the manager working at the time but we were also advised to put any breakfast sandwich on a bagel if the customer requested it for no extra upcharge.

Generally it was very "the customer is always right" unless they were asking us to do things that would put the license in jeopardy (such as asking for the items to be against health codes and so on)

I worked at the store with the lowest volume in the entire area so it's probably quite a different experience for those who work/consume at more busy locations.

That's not how it works. It's only really worth it if you go often. It's more like a phone card. you have to refill it to use it. The membership card is not a credit card, it costs nothing and is basically just a card you fill up with cash. If you're going to ever buy starbucks, it makes no sense to not use it, or just download the app.

Every purchase you earn a star. Every 12 stars you get a free drink. Doesn't matter how large or small your purchase is, you get one star.

Their frappes can be highly caloric and I do not suggest you drink them all the time, however you can customize it to have coconut milk or soy milk and no whip or drizzle to cut some calories out.

There are also other drinks that are super low in calories and taste great. This is where their juice line comes into play. The oprah teas are not for me. But I nearly always get a Berry Hibiscus with light ice, which I think is amazing, ask for extra berries. This has caffeine, is refreshing, and comes with a bunch of flavored rasberries that you can eat as well, hands down my go to favorite drink. It's healthy, low calories, refreshing as fuck and you get these delicious flavored berries that are sprinkled with some kind of tea powder.

This is what I do semi often but there is no limit to what I'm about to say. You can go in there and buy their buttered popcorn for $1.25, it's really good too, and earn a star. Do this 12 separate times, doesn't matter if you leave the store, come back or do it once a day, you get a star each time and get a free drink reward. It's just called a reward.

This is when I go all out. I have gotten $10+ drinks for free, and there is no real upward limit. I usually go for the venti mocha frapp with coconut milk, 4 extra espresso shots, with whip cream, caramel and chocolate drizzle. Next time I'll add chocolate chips to that bad girl.

This is by far the best way to go, you kind of screw starbucks out of profits but who cares, I've bought their berry hibiscus so many times.
