Fun fact: Durians are so pungent that in cities such as Singapore, the fruit is banned from public transit and airports.

Anon, the conundrum here is that while the fruit itself reeks to the high heavens, durian based products such as cream puffs are foods fit for the gods. I wouldn't judge unless I've tried the milkshake myself.

Sure. And if you get stuck in an elevator with a lactose-intolerant dude eating ice cream, and then oh god the doors won't open and he's starting to cramp up and fart and fart and fart and oh god I can actually taste the doo doo in the air... it's not really dirty. Just... stinky.

The durian is the sour-assed elevator fart of the food world.

They usually come frozen, so you won't smell anything. Chilled they still hardly smell. The flavor is OK but nothing to write home about. The texture is kinda like bananas, just firmer.

Worth a try, but I don't see myself buying it twice.
