Usually I don't drink energy drinks. Most don't taste good, and caffeine dependency is something I try to avoid. That way when I need caffeine, it actually works.

Been thinking of stocking up on some because of convenience and it's still pretty warm where I live for hot coffee. I'd cold brew, but this is for when I need caffeine unexpectedly.

What are your favorites and why?

The taste is actually a chemical-mango ish.

Smells like mangos during production as well.

Both rock-star and monster are constantly branching out with new flavors, but I like the AMP Cherry Blast.

I do realize this shit is terrible for me but whatever.

Another good thing is mtn dew's kickstart, has like 1/3 the sugar and calories in 16 oz than a regular 12 oz moutain dew

Most energy drinks are garbage.
Garbage flavor with garbage ingredients.

Rockstar however makes a sparkling water energy drink that ain't so bad. It has a slight flavor to it but it goes down smoothly with a clean finish. There is no terrible chemical aftertaste to it like the rest of them drinks.

Jolt, while not an energy drink was my favorite. Actually I think their rebranding/price hike into energy drink territory was what killed the brand. They bought into that awful battery shaped can which was much more expensive to bottle.
My favorite actual energy drink was the original Amp. The current version is close, and my regular, but not the same. The citrus taste is less forward.

This is all I can stomach as far as energy drinks. I exclusively drink zero calorie sodas and drinks and these are like the only ones with more than two zero calorie selections. They actually taste alright too.

Regular soda is too syrupy for me to tolerate, it feels too thick on my tongue. I avoid a lot of food and drink because I get wigged out by textures and consistencies.
I also just don't really like things to be very sweet.

I find there tends to be two distinct flavours of energy drink. Red Bull, Monster etc have a smooth taste, kind of like bubblegum. Drinks like Relentless have a sharper, more tangy flavour. Does anybody know what the difference is and are there more like Relentless?

I have a caffeine addiction and I do not like coffee. I get my fix from Red Bull and Monster.

I like the Monster Rehab line. They come in tea and lemonade flavors. They're non-carbonated so they do not make you feel bloated like other energy drinks. Low sugar content so you don't get a big crash. Very drinkable on your lunch break at work.

8oz Redbull is the only one I can stomach, all the others are just too much sugar. The Redbull is honestly pushing it, but I really love the shitty taste for some reason. It's like drinking sour candy, and I don't consume much caffeine so when I drink one, it hits me pretty good.

The traditional food of Lithuania- Cepelinai (Zeppellins (If I spelled that correctly)). The shell is potato, boiled at special conditions so it has this soft, wet and salty flavor and feeling. The inside is meat (Pork I believe). And on the top there is sour cream, as well as a thing which is basically Lithuanian Panchetta. Although in the recent years we started to make gourmet burgers

Monster, but I generally don't drink the standard flavor. Not that I don't like it, I just like others more. Coffee monsters are quite nice, but be careful. I once got coffee monsters from 3 different locations and all had curdled milk at the bottom, haven't bought one since because I don't want to roll the dice.

They have the same sort of can, and they've got flavors similar to standard monster but without as much bite. You should definitely try them at least once.

Check around at different convenience stores around town for prices if you're going to buy regularly though, prices and deals for buying multiple vary wildly from place to place.
