Andijvi stampot (translation: Endive stew)

>2 kilograms of crumbly potatoes, peeled and sliced into bits)
>400 grams of raw endive (make sure to slice it into strips)
>200 grams of bacon bits
>Milk
>Smoked sausage
>Sambal Oelek (Ulek)

Boil the taters until they are nicely done and crumbly, throw them in a big pan. Fry the bacon. Afterwards, use the same pan for the sausage that you used for the bacon. Now pour some milk (about 100 ml) in the pan with the taters and mix it until you get a yellow puree. Mix pepper, salt and nutmeg at will throw a couple of tablespoons of Sambal in there. Finally, add the endive and the bacon.

Enjoy.

I disagree. Black pudding certainly has its place. Works very well crumbled once cooked and used as a substitute for mince. It's also god-tier in a cooked breakfast where you can dunk it in your egg/beans to offset its dryness.

Not disputing that morcilla is superior overall though.

Many places claim it, all of which I think are BS since it's such a simple concept that you can trace it back to ancient times. The only way to narrow it down is to identify a specific type of burrito. If going just by "pork", that doesn't really help. If talking about carnitas, that would be S. Mexico. Also, Arizona is in the sonoran desert and a part of the sonoran region, and most of what can be said to originate in Sonora, Mexico could also be said to originate here, unless talking about something that originated after the purchase or having a more narrowed down city or village.

Well, it's biggest merit is that it is very sustaining and incredibly healthy.

You can also throw cheese in it (which plenty of people do) or apple. I like it best with a lot of sambal to make it a bit spicy, but it's really up to you what you want to throw in there. Also some people drown it in gravy though I wouldn't recommend that.

>> No.6853003

I think back in the day a sanitarium was considered a posh comfortable place to relax, smoke cigars, drink fine wines, and socialize, as featured in The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann

You have to remember poor people just died when they got sick, kind of like what republicans want today

And they didn't really understand communicable disease back in those days, also much like Republicans who support CAFOs that generate zoonotic outbreaks, and oppose vaccinations because the government is evil and education is a sin

So naming your food company after something like that would be like calling it "expensive hotel" or some such thing

South Dakota is not well-known for its cuisine. Tater tot casseroles and Jell-O salads abound. The best region-specific dish I've had here is kuchen. It is, of course, an import rather than an original Midwest creation, but it's the best South Dakota has to offer in my opinion. But then, anything's better than lutefisk.

Definitely not, the runniness would mix all weird into the gravy and it would just be mush. One of the best things about poutine is the way the cheese curds melt with the hot gravy

Michigan here.

This isn't really unique to Michigan but we make fan-fucking-tastic Fudge. It's the only "signature" dish I can think of. Maybe meat pasties in the UP and Traverse areas but they are pretty regional.

>LEL your food is so bad it needs a drink with it
it's just an extra that's just as good as the main dish, and that fur shit is seriously disgusting, I don't know why you would eat it. Maryland crabs are the absolute best, you can find them all for good prices too, they're all thick and filled with meat.
