>ex asks waitress for a "dirty bong water"
>waitress is like "wut"
>her brother asks for the same
>"o-ok"
>waitress has bartender research what the fuck that is
>most likely complies due to the fact that we're a large party
>they eventually get their drinks
>they ain't even mad but "it's not the same as when X makes it"
>mfw I look down the table and apples don't fall far from trees

I really like my ex but for real, we were out another time and she handed the bartender her phone and was like "can you make this" when they were super busy. Why do people do this

Don't know? People just go out of their wait to get things they want, is that not normal?

>go to an actual bar, not a restaurant with a bar
>can order just about anything
>Tom Collins, Whiskey Sour (the real kind with egg whites), Dr Pepper (it's an actual drink that's mixed to taste like Dr Pepper, not the real thing), Apple Pie, Rocky Mountain Bear Fucker, etc.
>try ordering a Salty Dog
>has two ingredients (three if you count the salt on the glass; four if you count the trace amounts of lime juice to make the salt stick to the glass)
>"lel what's a salty dog?"
>can order all these weird drinks with numerous ingredients, but they have no idea what a Salty Dog is
It was still a really good bar though. Some of the best prices I've seen in years. It's just too bad they closed.

People like to feel special, to stand out.
Was at a bar one night with a group. Bar has huge beer selection
Everyone gets a different beer & we all try each others, bunch of microbrews
1 guy orders a pre-prohibition old fashioned
He takes 2 sips & never finished the rest

ordering drinks like that and expecting people to know how to make them is really cringy autistic. I know a guy who would order shit he found online, bitch that they don't know what it is, then not tip because they didn't make it perfectly how he described it. You need to keep in mind these people just serve bud lights 90% of the time.

Used to go out to a Chili's across the street from where I worked with a few friends for lunch.

After about the third week of getting three doubles of Jim Beam for lunch on Saturday, I asked the bartender for an Old Fashioned. Not only did he not know what it was, but they didn't have angostura bitters or simple syrup.

>all right just another double of Jim Beam, please.

>> No.6832086

you expected a Chili's to have angostura bitters?

They had a solid 6 on draught. Dunno about bottles or whatever.

It's a fairly popular bar for the area (all the foodservice dredges, including myself) from the surrounding restaurants would go there for lunch.

Would leave work and still see people coming and going at like 11PM.

Their liquor was pretty limited, only had Jack, Jim and Maker's Mark.

That's why my friends and I ended up going to a local Mexican restaurant right around the corner.

Much bigger bar and we ended up trading food for booze with one of the bartenders.

Plus, they're the only place that makes my whiskey like I do at home.

>pint glass
>fill 3/4 with ice
>fill up with whiskey

The first time they brought me one I almost cried.

Went to a Friday's while in Florida for a conference. IT was hot and humid out, so I wanted something refreshing. Order a #5 cup. Bar didn't even have any Pimm's
