What is the hardest food you know? I mean at least as hard as pic related or as nougat

I guess most sugar candies are hard, but brittle, so they just shatter when you bite them. If you mean tough hard-to-eat-ness more generally, I second hardtack. It's just a solid hard flour chunk, I can't think of anything harder to eat that isn't really food anymore.
