had to, sadly. one person I had cooked for can't handle the onions.
3 people. missing dish isn't in the picture.
It's schmand/sour cream. but looks kind of like whipped cream I guess.

>>6808049
thanks.

I thought I did good.

I expected you to complain about the premade bread. salsa consistency isn't too good either as I pureed it.

>can't handle the onions

like an allergy or heartburn or are they just picky?

how can someone not handle a little onion?

Also I'm sorry everything looks lame. You tried. I'm sure it tastes ok enough.

Where the hell are you from
certainly nowhere near texas
yet you post texas style fajitas and call it mexican

That attempt has failed on many many levels
-overcooked chicken and I even like my chicken a bit crispy
-jarred salsa
-tortilla called "bread" still fucked up with using flour tortilla and not even cooking it
-beans look done and not in any good way

This is not at all mexican no matter how much you stretch the boundaries

pic related that is really mexican
chicken on the bone after being roasted over charcoal usually mesquite
fresh salsa
fresh beans
fresh tortillas
fresh everything
now that is mexican

Your chicken looks like dry bullshit you cooked too long/too low.

Next time, either brine it or grill it.

it is legit mexican 100%

sexy or not the taste is tops

bagged sides and salsa are for convenience when ordered to-go and they are entirely fresh

chicken is juicy practically perfect with some burnt ends ... its just the nature of things

>>6809420
didn't feel too dry; but I'll try to cook it not as long the next time. also after cooking it I let it sit for a bit while finishing the rest which might have been a mistake.

>>6809586
diced red/white onions, red beans, cilantro, garlic and cumin. i let it cook/simmer for a while (too long in this one I guess) and then mash it with a fork until I think the consistency is ok.

it's neither canned salsa nor whipped cream you humongous faggot.

thanks for the bean spread recipe, will try it. Can you tell me what you did for the rice? I am from aus and theres no mexicans to tell me. Also the internet hasnt helped.. weird

We have basmati rice? Is that whats needed?

>brine

Fuck off with this meme, brining just replaces the natural protein liquid in the meat with tapwater.

dry-brine? Sure. However, nothing determines how "dry" meat is other than cooking time.

Looks like pretty standard white people mexican food. Kinda bland looking honestly unless the salsa was really amazing.

Real Mexican food looks nothing like that spread usually...
