Obese Woman Arrested For Starving Her 7 Kids: “There Was Only Enough Food For Me”

News 8 – A disturbing report is coming out of that Baton Rouge, Louisiana this morning that tells the story of 27-year-old Lakisha Connors who reportedly starved her children nearly to death. The 27-year-old mother of 7 was arrested on Thursday evening when neighbors called police and said they saw extremely unhealthy looking children digging through the trash cans on the side yard. When police arrived and knocked on the door, they were greeted by three-year-old Amonte Connors and five-year-old Dante Connors who let them into the home. Authorities say they found the Lakisha Connors passed out on the couch.

I had a very, very long relationship with an American negress who was college-educated and came from a better sort of family.
Said ex, once we moved in together in the US, began teaching at a majority black elementary school. The students were loud, unruly, disinterested in and actively hostile to learning and education. However! One student applied himself and my ex mentored him.
By mid-year, it became clear that this child could go on to better things and was scouted by a quite well-to-do private school in the area seeking to diversify its student body. This school is in the top 10 of all schools in the entire US.
They offered the kid a full-ride so long as he kept his grades up.
My ex came home one day and kicked a hole through our wall. Turns out, the kid's mother refuses to allow her son to attend "no white school." This wasn't want drove my ex into such a rage. It was that the kid came into school the day after his mother refused to let him attend the new school covered in bruises and with a cigarette burn on his hand. The mother had abused him for thinking he's "better than [her]" and calling social services did nothing to help the kid.

My ex told me this is common in lower-classed black communities. "Crab mentality," it's called, wherein any member of the community who tries to better him-or-herself in any way gets dragged down back into shit with the rest of them, like crabs grabbing at each other as the try to climb out of a bucket.

It's a thoroughly depressing thought. Black American culture is horribly, horribly broken.
