What're your opinions on Barilla?

>> No.6795995

typical store bought garbage that doesn't deserve it's own thread

>> No.6796007

It's just regular cheap dried pasta. There is nothing special about it. It's pretty much the same damn thing as store brand or every other $1.50 box of dry pasta.

>> No.6796019

>>6795986
It's the industry standard. Literally nothing wrong with it. If you're not making your own pasta you might as well just get Barilla.

I'll eat it under duress and it's not horrible, but if I have a choice I'll buy pasta that doesn't suck

inb4 that sperg lord who doesn't understand that dry pasta and fresh pasta are different

Their whole wheat angel hair is my go-to. (Yeah yeah, I know. Got a family member with high triglycerides. The whole wheat thing isn't optional and I've honestly grown to love its grainy taste.)

If you want pasta that will stick to sauce particularly well, you might want to try brass-die (no teflon) pasta.

Barilla is just a brand. Buy store brand if it's cheaper.

Better than 47c pasta, not as good as some $5 frozen pasta, they are all inferior to hand made but ain't nobody gots the time.

Why buy Barilla when you can just go to Fazoli's?

their glass jar of sauce is fine, only 3 bucks too

Probably not much better than Rozoni's Smart Taste and Garden Delight stuff that I've convinced myself into eating by believing it's relatively healthy.

>> No.6796245

cheap goto pasta.

I make a lot of spaghetti noodles with homemade tomato sauce, penne with alfredo, shells for macaroni, and rotini for pasta salads

Pretty based until they caved to sjws.

It's afwul overpriced shit. Tried their bolognese once and almost puked. Their noodles aren't really good either.

>gross pasta that costs more than creamette so neither yuppies nor poorfags will buy it
>hey let's get attention from the alienated religious fundamentalist population by pretending we're being oppressed!
>all of a sudden poorfags everywhere are totally into it
pretty good strategy when you think about what it got them. kind of like that fast food from south slavistan that made that big campaign that got toothless hicks to flock to their store by the trailerparkfull in order to "support family values"

gold standard of dried pasta imo
they have a lot of shapes/kinds too.

>> No.6796292

Decent basic pasta. Could do worse for $1.

what's the problem? you live in a food desert where the only fresh pasta is factory-packaged and tastes like garbage?

sorry you don't have a local store that makes it on the spot in about 25 different varities, flyover-kun :(

Best selling brand in Italy. But what do those jabronis know about pasta?

budweiser is the best selling beer in murka

nissin cup o noodles is the best selling ramen in japan

just in case you thought your statistic actually meant something

>budweiser is the best selling beer in murka
Wouldn't Germany be a better comparison for beer? The top brand there is Oettinger, but I'm not a beer guy so I don't know if that's supposed to be good or not.

>nissin cup o noodles is the best selling ramen in japan
That's not fair either, all ramen is crap.

>> No.6796468

doesn't matter, all dried pasta is made from the same north dakota wheat
