Who packs there lunch for work? What's your vessel of choice, brown bag, tiffin, lunch box, cooler, etc.

>> No.6792921

Small little tupperware container for my noodles.
Kind of sucks though because it's too shallow to hold the hard boiled eggs I cut up for said noodles.

I pack my husband's lunch every day. He has a small soft cooler bag we use. There are two. The first one is taller than it is wide, and I'm not sure where we got it, my mom probably gave it to me, but I thought the shape was awkward at first, and then it turned out to work perfectly. The second one is kind of big, but it has room for an ice pack if we need one. I got it free, it was meant for transporting breast milk.

Sometimes I prepare peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and take them with me to the college.

Nice no's
There is usually a food truck near the site
if not, Roma Deli 2
No bring home lunches as we don't get a break till 2

I have a little zippered lunch bag and to carry stuff to reheat I have a bunch of glass containers of different sizes. And a small water bottle because we sometimes run out of cups at the water cooler.

>> No.6793270

Thermos full of delicious meal paste.

>> No.6793275

usually just a mason jar
that's all I store stuff in

>> No.6793423

32 ounce reusable bottle of water

Two peanut butter sandwiches (something I eat for work lunch almost every day unless I forgot to get my bread out of the freezer the night before, in which case the sandwiches are replaced with 2 peanut & dark chocolate protein bars)
Eight baby carrots
Banana
And some blueberries as a special mix up my normal celery

All but banana and water kept in sandwich bags
Vessel was an Igloo "Playmate" (didn't really pay attention to what the name was, or that it was even a children's lunch cooler/box, when I bought, but it suites my needs all the same)

>> No.6794539

I take sardines. I usually just carry them in my main bag. I actually own the lunch now in OP original post. Only used it once

>> No.6794613

I'm your indeterminably 'ethnic-looking' coworker ("are you Armenian or Chinese?") with the 'ethnic' lunch.

Plastic snap-lid rice-plate container, basically a single-tier bento box with one section for rice and another one-to-four sections for curries and sides to have with the rice.

Either that or a sandwich baggy in a brown lunch sack for sandwiches, two containers for soups/stews (one for the broth/stew and the other for the meat, veg and noodles/pasta/dumplings) or a single container of a dry mixed dish (fried rice, fried bread*, fried noodles etc).

>* it's kind of like stuffing's and fried-rice's bastard love child; it's bits of day-old flat bread stir-fried with other ingredients, like meat, eggs and/or various veg to make a meal

Started carrying a lunch when my doc asked me to start a 1800 calorie ADA diet. My wife has a circular soft cooler bag that holds a sandwich, a can of V8 and a piece of fruit.

This morning she made me a chicken sandwich though I can make my own, but it seems to make her happy.

I usually go to my car to eat so I just wrap it in foil and leave it in the glove box.

Im have a bento box, i don't like pinku (thats japanese for pink) or any girl color. It has 2 kotoba (thats japanese for 2 compartments) and is chibi (small) sized. And is really kawaii (cute). Also It was about 10-20 bux. I had to have have pics posted of it first before i bought it (i want to make shure it's kawaii [cute]). And it's nice because it came with matching chopstick holder (WITH chopsticks). OH! and it DOESN'T have any cartoon pictures, or made out of plastic. It's made of ceramic, or something like that. Also it's nice because it was made in japan. and not in china or corea (korea) or whatever. ihave found a bento box similar to the one im describing in e-bay, but it was 1 kotoba, and i didnt want my gohan (rice) to touch my other things (it can get wet and i would not like that, plus 2 compartments looks more kawaii)

You work in a office? Get a pack or two of mayo. Open them, leave them sitting out over night, make a sandwich for lunch using that mayo. It will taste fine, but about 8-10 hours later... They will want to curl up and die. I hate fu king lunch thrives!

I have an old Igloo cooler, not too big, not too small. Salad, fruit, milk or some liquid all fit in there. Carrots. Dried fruit. The usual stuff. Maybe some leftovers to dress up the salad.

I pack my lunch in a brown paper bag. We have a walk-in cooler at work so I just keep it there until I start feeling hungry.

I usually just pack a simple meat and cheese sandwich. Sometimes I'll pack some berries as a side or some cookies for desert.

Most people at my office order out lunch and have it delivered, but that gets too expensive when you're doing it every day.

If it's solid and dry enough (sandwich or leftover pizza or whatever) I just put it in a freezer bag.
if it's messy, I put it in an airtight container.
Either way it goes in the front panel of my backpack, as I ride my motorcycle to work wherever it is.
There's almost always a fridge and microwave in the places where I work, if not I can stomach most cooked foods in a cold state.
I also carry a 1liter bottle of water.
Today is a container of pasta, canned tuna, pesto and a bit of parmesan (am cutting at the moment so the portion is about 600cal only).

If my wife packs Something for me, she'd always add some little extras like a piece of cheese or something nice, I don't since I'm never inspired when I pack my lunch early in the morning.

I pack mine lunch when he manages to wake me up, he has a pretty sweet two box-lunchbox. One has three sealable components for say, yogurt, granola and sliced fruit and the other big component holds the pancakes.

I got a bunch of weeby shit too, like those little squeezy bottles for soy sauce but i use them for maple syrup and vinaigrette as well. Got some triangular onigiri bentos too.

girlfriend used to work at a retail chain targeted toward middle-class women that sells furniture and knick-knacks. one time as an employee gift, they gave her this insulated lunchbox thing with a shoulder strap. It's about big enough to have a sandwich, an ice pack, and maybe something else like an apple inside. then on the outside there are two mesh pockets for chips or trail mix or whatever

honestly that lunchbox was the best thing to come out of that job. I used it every day if she isn't using it.
