Hi /ck/, long time lurker, first time poster.

Have any of you ever attempted to replicate KFC?
Any MUST TRY recipes you guys could share?

I have a laden spice rack, chicken pieces, buttermilk, a skillet and a few liters of peanut oil.

Why would you even WANT the KFC recipe?
Would much rather have the chic fila recipe.

I'd mentioned it to my grandmother once and she gave me an old newspaper clipping with a copycat recipe on it.

It was good but it didn't taste like KFC and I thought it was a bit too sweet. It had brown sugar in it. Unless KFC tasted like that whenever the paper printed that recipe.

I used to work at a Popeyes, but I never did anything in the kitchen beyond dropping fries and shrimp into the fryers. I don't even like fried chicken, but if you're trying to replicate a fried chicken recipe reach for Popeyes. It's better.

You're just a picky cunt with too much time on your hands.

sigh. ok. becaue of blood pressure, I make oven baked. I actually like kfc original. flour, s&p, sage, garlic powder and nutmeg. in a bread bag. I use thghs. shake and bake. nutmeg is the key. and don't over bake, skinless is ok. coat with oil (any kind except 10w 40) first. Not exact, but not too bad. nutmeg is key. have fun.

Nutmeg, nutmeg, nutmeg.
Are you high, drunk, or just want OP to overdose on nutmeg?

On a side note, you never mentioned what the key to your chicken is.
