jamie oliver's are better imho. they're simpler and faster on a weeknight after work.
ramsay is very reverential to classical cuisine and unfortunately that often requires a lot of ingredients that are obscure and can be hard to find.

He has a lot of cook books. There's one that goes along with his cooking school TV show, and there's also his 'make it easy' book, and then his top-end, M star book with the recipes from his restaurants. You can find a lot of easy videos online.

This is the first one I did years ago; like three ingredients. Broccoli, water, and salt.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KR44a_5v_A

I ate at his NYC place back when he was running it and the year he earned two stars, and I've tried some of his downmarket stuff in London and NY. Choice meals.

I also cooked for him on person once when he came by a party I was hosting. Really kind guy. I have a framed and signed photo of him hanging in my kitchen now.

>> No.6784754

He has three restaurants here (Vegas) so yeah I have tried his stuff, so to speak.

The stuff here is kind of one-trick. Take some folksy British/Scottish thing and apply French technique to it. Or in the case of his burger place, just make a really really really good burger, plus a few simple dishes.

One thing I can say, he's got the goddamn best sticky toffee pudding on god's green earth

Did he shout at you while you were cooking? Also, were you nervous that he wouldn't like your food?

>> No.6786598

>>6786584

Not the anon who cooked for old mate Gordo, but I remember him saying in an interview that when he is out eating at restaurants he will hardly ever send his food back. He said he's there to enjoy himself and have a good time, not be a restaurant critic.

He says that when he's on TV he has to be very very critical because that's what viewers want.

So even if the anon's food was shit in Gordon's mind, he would have been courteous about it. Maybe he would have given some tips and pointers if he knew that anon had a strong interest in cooking.

He seems like one of the most genuine blokes. I'd love to meet him one day.

I'd definitely not be stroking his ego. He says he doesn't like the title 'celebrity chef'. He's a chef first and foremost and he just wants to cook good food.

Also I could probably have sex with some of those deep as fuck wrinkles on his face. Can you imagine watching your cum being soaked up by all those little crevices?

:^)

“You think I’m finished? I haven’t even gotten started,” Chef Ramsay said with a sadistic smile on his face.

He fished around my pockets until he found what he was searching for: the beads. He grabbed the bottle of olive oil and slathered a generous amount of oil on the beads.

“Turn around,” he said with a stern, expectant look on his face. I complied.

He pushed the first bead in gently. As it had disappeared out of sight, he pushed another one in. And another. After the last bead he tugged on the loop lightly, making sure the beads were secure. Satisfied with his handywork he continued to hammer me from behind. After a while his body started to tense up again. I knew he was getting close. To my surprise he quickly pulled out of me. He pulled out the beads, grabbed my hips and thrust his throbbing dick into my ass. Out of sheer surprise my body tensed up. Based on his low grunting, Chef Ramsay seemed to be enjoying it so I tensed up my body as hard as I could. His nails dug into my skin as his grip on my hips tightened. He thrust into me a few more times before pushing himself as deep as he could and shooting a load of warm cum deep into my ass.

No, he was not in TV-mode. He came into the kitchen and helped, and he really liked my dessert and asked for the recipe.

I wrote it up a while back on here and someone made an audio recording of themselves reading it as me, assuming I had a commonwealth accent.

Here you go: http://picosong.com/uhb2/

I personally like a lot of his recipes. Strong flavours, simple to make. His Moroccan lamb, aubergine with pomegranate molasses, dill fish fingers, and his simpler salads are all recipes I would recommend.

>> No.6787794

Ehh, he's a celebrity. You are better off going with cookbooks that are staples, written by chefs you've never heard of. They earned their spot by hard work, not a reality tv show.

I think you guys are misunderstanding each other. Nobody is saying that Ramsay wasn't a talented cook. The point was that he never WROTE about food until after he was famous.

>>6787939
>>6787950
I don't think he is bad. I'm simply saying since he didn't write a book before being a tv star, it's very likely that "his" recipes may be not what he actually cooks, but what the production company thinks people who buy famous people's cookbooks would like to cook.

>> No.6788272

>>6787963
Probably increasingly likely this did happen but it's not like he was a nobody before his first book

>it's very likely that "his" recipes may be not what he actually cooks, but what the production company thinks people who buy famous people's cookbooks would like to cook

You don't know what the you're talking about. Don't be one of those clowns who pops off speculating with know knowledge or experience.

1. His 3 Star book contains the recipes that earned him fifteen or so M stars.

2. Nearly all of his recipes in the books are ones you can see him cooking on video. When he cooks them, he shares a lot of anecdotes about the recipes or the methods he's using with them, and explanation of why they are doing something a certain way, etc.

3. People would like to cook what Gordon Ramsay makes, not the other way around. He makes beautiful, tasty food -- something that happened before he was ever TV-famous.

This may be news to you but he became popular on TV because of who he was, not the other way around. Some third-rate television network in Britain decided to make a multi-part documentary about a chef trying to go from two M stars three, and it was all behind the scenes stuff.

Anyway, you can watch it here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_asNbdQa6U
