What are the best foods to eat when feeling under the weather?

Anyone willing to fix me some soup and some curry food and bring it to me to clear my sinuses?

>> No.6780352

Activated sun-dried kale, sprouted whole spelt, and khadrawi dates (with the pit).

Thick vegetable broth or chicken soup are the best. Eat with crusty bread rolls.
Have yogurt with honey for after. You'll feel better very quickly. Drink hot water with lemon juice. And drink loads of vodka.

I suppose light things would be good for you, OP. So some bouillon broth would be a good start, and water or tea. Toast with a little bit of butter or spread is usually a decent thing to have as well. And saltines.

If you are all alone, don't forget you can do a decent sick food delivery from a Chinese delivery. This is universally available. To get a minimum order of $10 or $15 to justify the delivery, consider buying something to have as seconds or to freeze.
Order eggdrop or wonton soup. White or brown rice. This will get you past some horrible food poisoning, stomach flu or cold that has no appetite. Remember BART is banana, applesauce, rice or tea. Theyll bring you tea bags if you wish. The rest of your order can be steamed dumplings, which can be nuked under a damp papertowel or can be pan fried in a lidded skillet with a tsp of water in a minute to reheat later. Nearly basic protein and little soy dipping sauce can keep you going. Egg foo young, is basically an omelette and easy on the stomach. Keep away from spicy stuff. Moo Goo Gai Pan is bok choy and steamed chicken, pretty mild with brown rice to keep you feeling full longer. Orange beef or beef with broccoli has no chili. Ask for green onions (extra) because onion is good for clearing mucus of a cold.

If you have access to thai/viet delivery items, you want pho!!!!! Do that. If you want some more nutrition, you want some chicken or pork larb. Ask for extra chilies and lime wedges if you want to up your antioxidants and vitamin C.

All I consume when sick is hard liquor (sterilizing, so obvious good for you when you're sick) and toast with a topping of non-fat Greek yogurt, mustard, relish, Cholula, and pepper. Delicious and healthy.

for colds: spicy Korean ramen (I just get the Shin Ramyun packets and chop some extra chilli into it, maybe a dollop of sour cream if I'm not having anything else to eat), hot chicken soup, hot lemon and honey to drink. Try to sweat a lot but keep your liquids up.

for queasy tummies: hot chicken soup (seriously steaming hot chicken soup is GOAT) and other clear soups. Green salad and dry bread. No dairy if you can help it. Sports drinks like powerade or pocari sweat help me out when I'm feeling spewy but I'm not sure if this helps everyone.

for "I don't know why but I just feel off": lots of fresh fruit and vegetables (especially juicy ones like oranges, melons and tomatoes), less fatty/oily and salty foods.

I have practically no immune system so I'm constantly ill, these are just the things I've tried and tested over the years.

Tasty, light, and not bad for you. The alcohol is kind of rough on the stomach but it makes me feel better faster.

I always feel better when I'm drunk. You don't? You must be under 21.
