Tendies are the perfect food because they are filling and wholesome. They are familiar yet sublime. I loved tendies as a kid. I don't eat them much now, but they still have a special place in my heart. Breading and deep frying chicken breast in strips is a good way of cooking it--it makes an otherwise dry and stringy cut of meat very juicy and flavorful. Sauces give it a little bit of variety. I like mine with BBQ. It's a very comforting food.

Pretty much. They're generally on restaurant menus as a "safe" option for children and picky eaters who refuse to grow up or try something they're not familiar with. Of course with a bunch of dipping sauce to overwhelm whatever flavor they might have accidentally had on their own.
