Anyway I prefer The Separator (replace Vodka with Brandy). I think Vodka is very boring and just tries to be non-existant, I'd rather have a spirit that complements the rest of the beverage.

Another good example of Vodka being BTFO, Dark n' Stormy is a far tastier cocktail than the Moscow Mule.

A great White Russian uses half and half in addition to something lighter as the milk component. Makes it lighter without losing that nice, thick, White Russian-y feeling. Nutmeg on top is great, too.

Honestly, the best White Russian I ever had was in central Italy, in a bar at a public park. Apparently, keeping whipped cream in the bar fridge was more economical, and it worked great.

Can't argue with but as I've dabbled in the more sophisticated cocktails (Manhattans, Negronis, Old Fasioned) I can't help but look at Vodka and see it as a very boring alcohol.

But seriously I'll never order another Moscow Mule, Ginger and Rum is such a cooler combo.
