Nothing in milk is inherently bad. Humans began consuming the milk of other species (cattle sheep) thousands of years ago after domestication. A mutation that allowed adults to produce the lactase enzyme persisted and so did milk consumption.

The only questionable stuff has to do with all the antibiotics and general shit that cows are pumped with nowadays. But just milk itself is perfectly fine and normal to drink into adulthood.

Probably volume. It is easier to gather a bunch of dairy cows bred to consistently produce a large quantity of milk. Modern dairy cows can produce more than enough milk to sustain their offspring and then some. I guess humans don't apply.

Interestingly enough pigs are hard to milk: they have way too many nipples that don't produce a lot of milk, lactating only under specific settings for a brief period of time. Also adult pigs are huge aggressive assholes so who wants to spend the time milking them?

From a biological standpoint, no. Milk is meant for infants/younger animals. Most animals actually lose their lactase enzyme/the ability to properly digest milk once they reach adulthood.

For adult humans, retaining the ability to digest milk is actually considered a mutation and mostly European and North American populations have this mutation. The majority of the human population (i.e. Asia) are to some degree lactose intolerant.

For more information, look up lactase persistence.

Since current recommendations call for 3 glasses of milk / day, nah, the postprandial elevation lasting for ~6 hours after oral route is enough. Though a background of ectopic fat would help lower the threshold for insulin resistance - and milk certainly contributes to this with its high saturated fat content.

It's interesting that a dietary intervention eliminating milk and other foods that are sources of diabetogenic substances can treat diabetes

>>implying milk and not HFCS in literally fucking everything is causing rates of diabetes to skyrocket
Nobody's implying added sugars aren't of concern. But it would be black and white thinking inconsistent with the science to blame only those and downplay everything else.

>Dude, just stop. Your argument is fucking retarded and its obvious you've run out of points to defend yourself with other than "muh reading comprehension!" and "muh pubmed articles!"
I know I had won the debate when I saw that you can only grasp at straws and post infantile anime reaction images.

I don't understand what point your trying to prove here. You still have no successfully shown that milk is a leading contributing factor to diabetes

>Since current recommendations call for 3 glasses of milk / day
>[citation needed]

I'd also like to see any evidence that an average population, anywhere in the world, consumes 3 glasses of milk per day, every day. Nomadic tribal Mongolians and Ethiopian cow herders subsisting only on milk don't count.

I don't need to. The paper in >>6737551 does it for me. You still have yet to present a case against it.
