I have some Dominican friends coming over to swim this weekend. I want to make spaghetti for lunch, but I know they don't like "red spaghetti".
I need to know how to make a Dominican style spaghetti without red sauce.
They have tried to explain it to me, but they don't know enough English and I know even less Spanish.
I know that Dominican spaghetti can have lots of different stuff in it, but I need to know how to make the very basic dish, and then I can add other stuff. What do I use for a sauce if they don't like the red?

How about you just make whatever you know how to make and can be confident that it's gonna be delicious? Who gives a shit how they eat their spaghetti. Ohhh wait, now I remember. At family gatherings often there'd be a big pot of some kind of spaghetti. It was so good, especially you let it sit in the fridge for a couple of days and then reheat it. It wasn't swimming in sauce but it has plenty of flavor, definitely involved some tomato.

Also there'd be some dish made of mashed potatoes and beets, I never tried it, looked so weird.
