What is a good mug for the Aeropress ?

I was looking at these Bodum Pavina glasses but people have broken them from the force of the coffee press and they are tippy.

I plan on making Americano and Cappuccino in the mug.

Take your press to the mug store. I find that many mugs are not suitable.

I ordered my Aeropress on amazon and its in shipping right now.

I was wondering if there was a popular mug that people use with the Aeropress that I can grab on Amazon.

I saw on youtube vids that the press can dribble around some mugs and get coffee on the counter.

And other mugs dont drip at all, so clearly some mugs are better then others.

But because I dont have my aeropress I dont really know what to look for in a Mug.

I would not buy a mug on the net.
wait for your press to come then try the mugs you have . You might get lucky.
If not you may have to go to a brick and mortar and interact with a human.

If anyone knows a good mug that works with the Aeropress I would order it offline.

I just got some wine glasses and they are super thin.

We have some mugs in the house but they are not great, I will give them a shot and hope one works.

If not then yea I guess the search continues.

I use a 16oz contigo insulated mug I got off amazon with my aeropress. The aeropress doesn't fit directly on the mug so I use the funnel thing that came with it, but the mug itself is sturdy as fuck so I have no worries about pressing too hard or anything like that.

I wish someone would aeropress me in the ass.

What do you guys think about steeping in an inverted aeropress like this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ8wvUKa35E

Let it brew for a few minutes then press it?

A 5 oz (147 ml) mug should be enough. It's the max amount an Aeropress can brew.

>Let it brew for a few minutes

That won't do anything except cool it down. It won't even extract more.

30 - 60 seconds of stirring is all you need.
