Pic related is good stuff when my sweet tooth isn't acting up on me. One of these days I'll get it sorted. Their ginger ale is really good too.

>> No.6709713

virgils is not root beer, there is no sassafras flavoring which is literally the only thing you need for something to be a root beer. sassafras is explicitly the root in question when you say root beer.

take that vanilla anise swill somewhere else and dont come to this thread with it

that is all

Barq's is the actual shittiest root beer. Mug is even better. I favor A&W, but I haven't been able to try that many different root beers.

I just had this one. The taste was great, but for some reason, the smell was fucking terrible. It smelled exactly like an old used sponge.

There's a whole bunch of alcoholic root beers on the market now. It must be a new trend.

At any rate, I need to rep the local stuff.

Found a case of pic related at Costco (lol Virginia), $15 for 24 bottles. I like it personally because it's got a lot more flavor to it, rather than the carbonated bite of a lot of other rootbeers.

brewing as in they cook/brew the ROOTS in water and then add sugar and yeast?

That's how root beer was originally made. Nowadays it's just a type of soda. Ginger beer is a similar type of drink from England.

Traditional root beer is brewed, though, and if you can find it brewed root beer is fantastic.
