If you can ever get your hands on Kewpie Mayonaise, you should. It's fucking great, just as long as you're not the kind of person who takes issue with MSG. You can find it at most asian markets, and if you're lucky at a normal market. Just look for the creepy baby on the bottle.

>> No.6684411

Dukes. Plus it's made right down the road.

>> No.6684450

Homemade is best.
That said, Hellmanns (aka Best Foods west of the Rockies) is the best store bought. After that, I'd get Banquet (it's very similar to Hellmanns), then Blue Plate, then Dukes, then give the fuck up.

Yep, if you enjoy msg and plenty of extra sugar, go for it. You might as well get Miracle Whip.

Dukes is not fancy by any means. It's available in I guess mostly the south? I dunno. But it's like locally available hell mans stuff. It's in every store. Same price or better. Shitty quality. Tastes good.

i dunno how the labelling works because if it uses vinegar there will be traces of sugar in it. i don't find it markedly more sweet than western brands, many of which do explicitly have added sugar.

>> No.6684541

>>6684454
Kewpie actually does have a small amount of sugar in it, but it's worlds apart from shit like miracle whip, in both its flavor and its composition. It's not a lot though, the calorie breakdown is like 85% fat, 6% Sugar, 9%Protein. It's not a big deal, but it's in there. It's not like the sugar in some other sauces with high sweetness.

in stores, so you buy "street" mayo? I'm from the south US, and like Dukes or JFG, kinda pricey if on a limited income. Hellmans is good or even Kraft on sale. Food lion Store brand is pretty decent and 2 bucks cheaper.I have lost significant weight. 100 lbs. It takes time(you did not gain it overnight, and you are not gonna lose it in two weeks. Walk, take a stroll get up.off your ass. Some people hate Mayo,I feel your pain. that gelatinous mess called "miracle whip" Seriously a little mayo goes a long way. as far as "lite", well, some are better than others and jello, basically.Mustard is good, any kind, other things, you might be suprised. Who ever thought or invented "no fat" mayo deserves a special place in hell. One of Dantes circles.. Pro tip, really, ck,if you like mayo, fine. use less. and move. e=mc2. not preaching. And if you think you are gonna be 18 again, by eating anything I have some bad news for you... less is more. most people don't want to hear that. truth sux, most times

In America, Hannaford's/Bottom Dollar's (lolgone)/Food Lion's storebrand is 9/10, IMO. Kewpie is 10/10. Aldi's organic mayo and Hellman's/Best are both 8/10. Heinz is 7.5/10.

Anyone know how McCormick rates?

Yes, but Food Lion exists in the south and Mid-Atlantic and is Hannaford's sister store, like Acme and Albertson's.
Hannaford mayonnaise I used to buy at Bottom Dollar (a former sister store to Hf and FL) was fantastic. I've seriously considered driving 35 minutes to the nearest FL just to buy more, it's so good and cheap.

Weeaboos know shit about Japanese food or cooking. Have you ever been to a Japanese specialty store? The weebs always crows around the candy section, and leave with nothing but bags of candy and "special" ramen. They never go near the grocery section.
