Cold is an exaggeration

A giraffe's body temperate is 105°F (thanks furry porn), so 150°F coffee wouldn't cool off too drastically coming down the throat, and with every sip the throat warms and the coffee can retain its heat. I'm sure the giraffe's tummy would feel very warm after a tall cup of coffee.
