Well the subway-style "pick your ingredients" model gives you the illusion of choice.
The food is marketed as "organic" which people think means "healthy."
So since people think they're eating healthy they don't feel guilty about eating there daily and paying an extra $2.50 for mashed avocado, when you can get a whole avocado at a grocery store for $1.00-$1.50.
What they do is genius really. An impressive deception. I eat there myself. It's like crack except worse because you think you're doing nothing wrong.

Chipotle is bland and dry, I'll eat it if it's around and nothing much better is a choice but I'm almost never eating there if I want a burrito. Panchero's is my favorite place to get a quick burrito, much tastier, you get more, and less dry. Don't think I ever been disappointed by the place before.

I generally get a burrito bowl:

white rice
black beans
fajita veggies
chicken & sofritas
pico de gallo, green, and red salsa
sour cream & cheese

Get a couple bags of chips and a side of guacamole, slather the guac over the top of the whole thing, and treat it like an enormous 7 layer dip.

So good.
