Show your age /ck/.
I used to eat KFC Nuggets when I was younger. Not tenders, or popcorn chicken, but they still had nuggets.

How about when Burger King's chicken tenders were just today's chicken fries just without the seasoned breading? Burger King used to literally be the king of chicken nuggets/tenders in those days. McDonald's has only had superior regular nuggers for the last 5 years or so.

I mostly remember McDonald's from my youth.

>McNuggets were made with dark meat
>They had the "Arch Deluxe" (never tried it, but I know of it)
>They had Szechuan dipping sauce for McNuggets to promote Mulan
>They had gyeoja sauce to promote Mulan in South Korea
>They actually had turkey strips around Christmas at one point (might've been a regional thing, because very few people seem to know/remember them)
>Some McDonald's locations had N64 demos set up next to the playplace (which, in hindsight, was poorly executed. The systems would automatically reset themselves every 10 minutes. This interval wasn't ideal for certain games, like Zelda OoT, Mario Party, Banjo-Kazooie, etc. You could definitely finish a race or two in Mario Kart, but it was bullshit how you were perpetually stuck in Kokiri Forest because of the time limit)

I remember when McDonald's first introduced the white meat McNuggets. This one location I went to was in the middle of the transition, so they still had some dark meat McNuggets remaining, that they sold at a lower price. I may have possibly eaten some of the last dark meat McNuggets ever made.

The progun era was around the time when the fast food/junk food/"nostalgia" cancer threads full of people reminiscing about the garbage their trailer trash parents fed them really took off with a vengeance.

Prior to that it was still /b/ for food, but at least the junk food element wasn't so militant. We had cool trips like Boss Nigg, and even Bat Guano showed up sometimes.

Now our entire board is dominated by joeyfags and a for at least 6 so years we've had multiple simultaneous threads where people rage endlessly about hair-splitting differences between fast food menus. Syn and BBQ KING (who are basically the same person with a slightly different style of writing) are the only regular namefags and tripfags, making me actually wish angie would come back and cleanse the filth.

I'm not that old, but I miss Jolt Cola. I know I can still buy it (online, which is stupid).

I worked at a Hardee's that still had chicken and roast beef, when I was a teenager.
The roast beef had to be cooked and held in a warning oven for when people ordered it. When the holding time ended, you were supposed to throw it away, but 99 times out of 100,, we'd put the rest of it on the slicer and cut it up for sandwiches for the crew.
I remember one fourth of July, we had four of these roasts left over (each one was about five pounds) and nobody wanted any, so I got to slice up twenty pounds of the stuff and take it home. Sandwiches for days, son.

How do people come up with that. Also cream of wheat or brains and eggs,Come,on, its good for you. The DZ I used to go to was in central illinois.

Gigantic building. It was half and half with a Shoe Carnival. Then it went out, shoe carnival took the whole thing over. Then Shoe Carnival moved and it became a book store for a very short time, then it was seasonal shit like a Halloween mask store or a christmas decoration store.
It eventually was sold and became a really badass petstore.

Of course that went out of business too. More seasonal shit till they eventually just demolished the old building and built a new bank building on the property.

Some of my buddies had no clue it was there either, and they are my same age. Its sad the massive building isnt even there anymore.

Mc Donald's burgers came in styrofoam boxes.
There were Mc Cookies in the happy meal and they were so fucking good.
Most happy meal toys would be variations of Mc Donald's Products or characters (and they were "Made in Hong Kong").
I collected all "Jurassic Park" themed plastic cups when the movie was released, I used them to store pens and stuff on my desk where I'd do my homeworks after school.

I remember they had sandwiches with those instead of a filet for really cheap, maybe around 1994 or something?

I'm not sure if maybe it was because I was young but I thought Burger King was amazing in the early-mid 90s in comparison to all other fast food.

Although I've been back recently a few times and their new nuggets are pretty damn good, but I'd imagine that has more to do with them being fresh due to demand because of the 1.50 promo. Last time I went it seemed like nearly everyone was just buying nuggets.

After I read this comment, I went to look up a commercial for Hardee's fried chicken on Youtube.
I found one.
In the comment section of that video, which only had 3 comments, one comment remarked that they were the youngest boy of the "family" in that commercial.
I looked at that man's Youtube account.
He had uploaded a video last year where he revealed to his mother that he was going to be a father, and she a grandmother.
A kid who ate Hardee's fried chicken 22 years ago, is more successful than me in life because of it.
God bless you, Hardee's Fried Chicken.
