what would you do if you came to a restaurant for a dessert only and they'd refuse to serve you unless you ordered a full menu?

do other people even come to a restaurant to have dessert only or is it only me?

If I do that, I'll sit at the bar as to not take up a table.

I'd take my business elsewhere? IF I'm going out specifically because I want to sit down and have a nice desert I'm not going to order a full meal just to appease them.

>paying for overpriced sugary nonsense
>ever

Just learn to make desserts & then sell them.
That way, you can fully sustain your addiction.

Why the fuck would anyone ever go to a restaurant for dessert only?
It's usually insanely overpriced and you're paying loads just for "atmosphere".
If you're meeting friends then obviously it's fine but fuck, man. This >>6623746

That isn't true though. Desserts are usually the lowest margin products on the menu.

Yeah, relative to much more overpriced items they don't necessarily register, but if you are going in to just get a dessert then you'll probably judge the pricing relative to grocery store prices.

Like all things, it depends.

You do not go to a fancy restaurant in the evening when they are busy and sit at a full table just to get dessert. If it is busy, go sit at the bar or in the bar area to get dessert.

If it is not busy like if it is late at night, tell the hostess you are just having dessert/drinks--then it is alright to sit anywhere and just order dessert.

If it is not a fancy restaurant, unless it is especially busy, it is fine to just get dessert/drinks and take a table or booth.

You're wasting money paying for atmosphere if you go by yourself, just go to a bakery or a pastry shop.

Just leave, if they cant provide you with the service you want (within reason), find it elsewhere.

Well if they refuse to deliver the product you want, move on to next restaurant.

I used to go to restaurants and order desert + coffee or desert + cognac during my lunch breaks at school. I always got what I ordered without any issues, however some of the restaurants had really crappy deserts so I never returned :/

Id prefer the bar vs a table if I'm alone. Faster service and people don't look at you pathetically.
Also, there are really places that don't let you order dessert only? Sounds like a shit restaurant or a very upscale one
