Alright /ck/, what is the best steak and/or rub or marinade?
Do you make it yourself, or is it store bought?
If you make it yourself, directions?

Butter or oil, salt, and pepper. Only time I marinate beef or use more of a dry rub is if I am smoking it or it is a cut for something like tacos.

live a little

I'm not saying you should go out and buy 40 dollars of McCormick© Grill Mates™
but a few spices added to a nice piece of meat can be enjoyable

Butter, salt, crushed garlic, thyme. Win.

Flank, london broil/top round, skirt, top sirloin: minced garlic, black pepper, and lime juice. Salt while on the grill.

You're missing out if you've never enchanced a steak with rub.
We're not talking about people who drench their steak in enough sauce to disguise their shitty meat.
Also you're a faggot.
Why are you even on /ck/ if you're against sauces and spices?

Angelo's Seasoning salt + pepper

Tony Chachere's + pepper

Lowry's seasoning salt + pepper.

When I'm feeling frisky some of Chef Paul's blackening seasoning.

When you eat beef as much as I do, especially good beef, you do get to the point of trying other seasonings and marinades.

I use this a lot. Great on just about any meat.

This stuff, Montreal Steak, and Chicago Steak seasonings are almost all about identical though. Weber makes a Canadian Steak too.

I don't make ribs that often so I just make my own rub.
