So I have a big block of Gouda that I bought because it was on sale. I made a panini with some left over chicken a couple days but thats all gone now. Going shopping tonight

What are some recipes that feature gouda as a primary ingredient. I do not want to buy any more cheese as decent cheese is very expensive in this country. Ideally it would be something I can prepare after work and eat the same night.

Gouda is considered her ein swampland just normal cheese, i'd figure it's pretty much the same as American cheddar. (not the orange garbage)

just fucking eat that shit. You don't need a fancy recipe for gouda. Cut yourself a slice and revel in its heavenly creaminess.

This is what I'll be making next time its on sale. The panini didn't leave me enough cheese to make mac and cheese

Fun fact of the day for all you Americans pronouncing gouda wrong.
It's pronounced "How-duh"
G's are pronounced like the H's the way Israelies pronounce H's, with the back of the throat in the Dutch language.

Nobody fucking cares. This isn't Holland. Go namefag on another board, nerd.

I bought it in Japan and the phonetic pronunciation was much closer to the English pronunciation than that weird H pronunciation.

You pick and choose your battles when it comes to an imported word. If the pronunciation is close saying it correctly helps correct people over time, like the word karate. However if the adapted pronunciation is well used and nothing like the original pronunciation all you do is annoy people.

You could be as wrong as you want.
Do you say tortilla like TOR-TIL-UH?
Do you say yacht like YAKT?
Do you say coup like COOP?
Do you say campaign like CAM-PAG-NE?
Stay retarded.

Nobody says it like that. People in two different countries with two different languages pronounce Gouda with a hard G though.

It really depends on your communicative goal: are you trying to say something about cheese, or something about yourself?

I don't care how other countries pronounce something.
Gouda is a dutch cheese.
Fuck, it was named after a dutch town.

I'll say the correct name, and if they ask me, I'll elaborate for like 5 seconds.
Boom, done. It's not like I can't converse and can only say one word replies like some dumb fuck neanderthal.
OH.
OH.
OH.
CARROT.
