HAGGIS

>> No.6560230

I can't afford a trip to Scotland. Where can I get some of this alluring stuff in Australia? Preferably NSW.

>> No.6560233

Looks like shit. I like my liver deep fried with turmeric and garlic batter

Sounds delicious.

Haggis is cool. Just like in any culture it is an attempt to make the undesirable parts on an animal palatable. If it's seasoned well it's good. Here in Canada it shows up in major grocery chains around Robbie Burns day. Other than that it's more difficult to find. My grandparents are were Scottish and gran on my Dad's side made a good one. Not exactly her best dish but even as a kid I never complained about it.

I'd try some. I'm quite drawn to dishes made of necessity rather than luxury, at least to the point where I'll give it two bites.

Haggis is delicious and so comforting
The best Haggis comes from Cockburns in Inverness, Scotland. And they do online orders.

The trouble with haggis... is that it's full of lung! If we can't eat it out, we'll *breathe* it out.
