I might be going here for a few days. What are some notable places or things, I can get in Maryland that I can't get in other states? Or places to eat in generally?

In b4 crab cakes

Honestly, we don't have much that is exclusive. I love Old Bay, so try some of that on a few things. Hope you enjoy your stay in MD.

Don't check out Ben's Chili Bowl in DC. People say it's the bomb but really it's just overrated.

If you like good chinese (Szechuan) check Joe's Noodle House in Rockville, MD. Great spot. Also find any Peruvian chicken place. Go to DC for some great, and free, museums.

Silly American swill! They make awesome dan dan noodles, pork with leek stems, fish and tofu szechuan stew. Those were some of my favorites when I lived there though. *grumbles at Memphis, TN*

Maryland generally sucks and nothing about it is original. The state has made it's name for being a somewhat decent copy of a copy version of its surrounding states.
Baltimore, for instance, is a much shittier version of Philly. The best of the "must see/must do" list are all in other places, with two exceptions. Camden Yards is a great place to see a ballgame. Try to go when the Orioles are playing the Yankees or the Red Sox so you can see just how shitty Maryland is - the stadium will be filled with the other team's fans. Second exception is the Baltimore Aquarium. It's really good. IDK if its worth the 40 bucks it costs to get in, but its a great aquarium.

Then head to DC for the museums and VA for the food. two places not to miss if you like the chink food - Eden Plaza in Falls Church (little vietnam. amazing Bahn mi, pho, roasted duck, etc) and Koreatown in Annandale. You can get authentic shabu shabu, kbq, etc. There are hundreds of thousands of koreans and viet who live in NoVa, so the food is incredible and dirt cheap. If you want a steak, head to Ray's the steaks. It won't be the best steak you've ever had, but it will certainly be the best value/dollar for steak you;ve ever encountered. A steak worthy of anything on Morton, Cap Grill or Ruth's Chris menu for anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 the price.

if you INSIST on staying in Maryland, there are a few decent places in Bmore. This place called Little Havana on the water on key Highway is awesome - go for the cuban brunch, endure the stupid che guevara art.

There's a place called Joe Squared. It's supposedly a pizza joint but they have 22 risottos on the menu, and every one ive ever had is solid.

Last, walk "the block' and then take a shower. It's the last of the true red light districts in the US. It's like being in Times Square in the 70's/80's - creepy guys in top hats trying to hustle you into their nasty titty bars that smell like unwashed vagina and body odor.
