I know it use to be at a few boutique shops in te US, but none of them seem to have it anymore. I'd even be happy to order it online.

Where can I get some verjuice?

>> No.6508615

Claims to be such a gourmand. If you were in DC i could help you but you're too much of a cunt.

I've never made any such claim and I am in DC.

I've called the following places and gotten a no:
- Dean & Deluca
- Wegmans
- Rodmans
- Whole Foods
- Mom's Organic
- Balducci's
- Wagshal's

Who has it?

>I am in DC
You poor bastard.

Lived there 6 months before abandoning ship. A nightmarish overpopulated shithole full of an odd mix of thugs and yuppies.

It was cool that I could go to a grocery store and buy truffles or several breeds of pork though.

This has been home base for nearly twenty years though I do agree with your assessment. But I don't really get out much and most of my world here is in the political bubble.

It's been a good fit but in August I'm heading up to Manhattan. Which I imagine you think even less of.

That shit is around $30 a bottle in Australia.

I can pay 4/5 dollars for a cask of goon.

It's expensive because Maggie sweetens it with her own urine.

Any chance you can get it fresh from the tap?

>in DC.

Name me 3 butchers?
2 cheese shops?
Where to get good coffee?
Store that carries Talisker 18?
Store that has JO Seasoning?

If you can answer those simple questions I'll tell you

So including the greater DC area...

>Name me 3 butchers?

The organic butcher of McLEan (where I go)
Let's Meat Me On the Avenue (in Alexandria, clever name)
A bunch of them in Eastern Market

>2 cheese shops?
Cheesetique in Alexandria
Cowgirl.

Haven't really messed with them much; I usually do fine enough getting my stilton from whole foods, etc.

>Where to get good coffee?
For loved ones, I drive to Manhattan and go to Stumptown. I don't drink coffee myself. Buddy of mine use to be a barrista at Chinatown Coffee, and a lot of folks like Northside Social in Clarendon.

>Store that carries Talisker 18?
Scheiders. I use to live across the street when I worked on cap hill. Not a drinker, either.

>Store that has JO Seasoning?
I'd guess they have some in the little shop in the front of Blacksalt in the Palesides.

Are you a teetotaler? Is that why you are looking for the verjuice?

Never been to Manhattan.

I can recommend places, but never condemn a place I've never been.

You've answered correctly but that not drinking rubbed me the wrong way for some reason. One friend berated me for being on 4chan and said I should answer you. Another said you were a troll and something was really wrong with you and to fuck you. I'm too lazy and drunk to bother looking in the archive. You're fucked sweetie

>> No.6509834

No. I cook with alcohol all the time. I want to make olive oil and verjuice ice cream.

>>6509758

I don't drink but I have enough top shelf alcohol in my house to make a crowd happy. Unopened bottles of Petron, Skyy, black and blue label, Bacardi, etc.

Yes, I guess i don't have my verjuice yet but you're an asshole for life.

>>6509760
>Never been to Manhattan.

I puzzle over how that's possible. It's just a few hours away. Well, sorry DC didn't work out for you and I hope you find peace where you are.

>> No.6509859

An addendum: I don't think you have any idea where in DC you can get verjuice.

I'm very happy here in the twin cities. Lots of orientals, some indians, africans, and a few middle-easterners. I can buy nearly anything. Or just spend the day wandering throughout a market that looks like a fantasy bazarr.

Yeah I went a lot of places, just not Manhattan.

By the way, for a person who was born in the midwest, it was fun watching warships off the coast. Been such a while I can't remember where I saw them, it was off one the larger bridges. Endless glimmering sea and flawless ships slowly moving somewhere between myself and line of sight.

Even better, if you ever get the chance, it watching them pass over you when you scuba under them. Seeing how their hulls black out the sky as their engines vibrate the water around you and in you.

Even regular ships are a site to behold that way when you're on the bottom, looking at coral, and then....

If you really need some, you can order some online from Navarro Vineyards, in CA. Not entirely sure of the quality of the jus(though I know several people who order their wines regularly), and they only have verjus from Pinot Noir, but if nobody else pulls through, ship that shit.

See now this is why the midwest will always be America and the coasts will always be a crime-fest with too much voting power.

Did you just respond to a forced compliment with threats of death? Of course you did. Which is why coastal cities should be obliterated.

A tiresome 2 AM and you pricks are already at it.

I've told many posters here that I'd like to kill them over the last few weeks. That post was obviously not in any such vein.

You're just hyperfocused on nonsense with a petty, broken, myopic thought process that revolves around yourself and only yourself. Someone oughta' beat that moron filled head in, lest it generate more waste and destruction. Fuck off.

Is this a thinly veiled attempt to get me to tell you where to find it? I would give you a hint but I think it's funnier that you can't find any or are going to have to pay $25 for a bottle online and $15 more for shipping.

My friend show me your old posts from the archive. Christ you're fucked up. I like how you went from a try hard aspie to troll. I'm glad I didn't tell you.

I think you might have an idea of someone who use to have it, but I'm nearly certain you don't now.

I'm mean, what kind of pretentious person would make a test of those questions?

You're probably the hipster fecal matter who jerk off at the Seasonal Pantry shit show.

They were easy questions to answer, the kind of thing a hipster plebe would think to ask. That should have been an indication you didn't know vj is much less where it is. But it did keep bread alive and someone who knows something might pop up.

I have no idea and hope you will find. I'm planning to make some from scratch this summer, but I highly doubt I could send you some over the Atlantic. Anyway, I'll think of you when I appreciate my verjus and olive oil sorbet.
