What's the best way to eat potatoes and why is it wedges?
>outsides of fries are good
>insides of baked potato are good
>literally the best of both worlds.

>Not roasted in Duck fat and seasoned with pepper and sea salt

Of course you can't get those with your EXTRA BIGASS BURGER so /ck/ would obviously prefer the wedges, natch.

It's the same idea ya fag. Crispy outside, soft inside. Enough with your pedantry.

>mfw you're right about duck fat tho

Not even slightly.

OP here and maybe I should have been more clear; I'm absolutely talking about roasting them. Deep frying potatoes is fine but deep frying at home is for ultimate fatty status.

Agree. Although, when done right, a baked potato is essentially just one big wedge. Crispy outside, fluffy inside.

Anything other than par boiled then fried potato cubes is the wrong answer.

Boil dirty potatoes in water and smash them a bit. Add macaroni and slices of American cheese.

i had panfried mashed potatoes, seasoned with garlic powder.
despite the original mash being shit (thanks mom), it still came out pretty good.

Woah woah woah back up nigger. You panfried mashed potatoes? Fuck, I'm stoned as hell and that sounds amazing.

What I do is cut potatoes into cubes, toss them in oil, salt, then microwave them for ~15 minutes. They are amazing.

yea, grab last nights mashed potatoes, heat up a pan with butter to get that golden, then throw in lumps of mash, shape them however you want then season with whatever, preferably something salty or spicy, garlic powder works really well.
really tasty stuff.

If you like your wedges a bit more crispy, brush your unbaked wedges with mayo, then season and bake.

>> No.6508950

Have you tried dusting them with potato starch? You brush them with oil, and then put them into a bag with potato starch and shake. Add salt and pepper and bake. Bocato di cardinale
