Who here has their fishing license? I'm looking forward to catching some catfish and frying 'em up.

I mean sure, catfish are easy, but why not aspire to a fish that's not a bottom-feeder?

'Course, I have no idea where you're located. But I'd imagine that catfish aren't the only thing available for you to catch.

I live in Arkansas. The big three are bass, trout, and catfish.

Bass is mostly caught for game, and catfish is good eats. I like some homemade hushpuppies and taters with it.

I like bluegills, but I don't know about the waters around here....pretty polluted.

I didn't know anyone ate those. They can't have much flesh on them, they are so small and flat. I used to catch tons of them with tadpoles as bait every summer and it never occurred to me to eat one.

Ahhh. I grew up in Memphis. My half native Indian Granny used to make some really good fried catfish.

Have not gotten any over a year now since I moved to Seattle

Washington-fag here

I love catching salmon, steelhead, cutthroat, trout, bass, and anything else I'm legally allowed to catch.

Sturgeon are a fun fish if anyone ever gets a chance to fish for those. There's a monster one in a river near me, the damn thing is easily 15 feet long. Hooked it once and my line snapped about five minutes into fighting it.

You still need a fishing license unless it is a stocked private pond. The fees pay for more environmental shit than Greenpeace.

From Texas here, yall don't know about my red fish. Catfish is good though, the blue catfish that is, I'm curious what kind do you have over there op? Also I let my licence lapse I've been doing national and state parks.
I like to eat bass, sport fishing seems... rant rant not related.

I don't have one yet but a cool thing in NYS or at least Broome county is that military folk who live here get their licenses w/o charge. I'm not military but was just mentioning that about the license.

It's not so much about "muh freedums" as hippie fags such as you think, it's about protecting the populations of fish and game and maintaining the locations for the next generations and stuff like that.

Our citizens are too stupid to not overfish/hunt and ruin the supply for the future.

Necessary evil.

There's a difference between being too stupid and being unable to know how many other people have fished in the area before you that year.
