Has anybody ever quit drinking for an extended period of time (three months for me)?
Today I went and bought a cheap bottle of Canadian whiskey and I was barely able to drink half of the bottle before getting buzzed of it, how long before I can drink a whole bottle like I used to?
TL;dr > How long before alcohol tolerance builds up again after not drinking for an extended period of time

>in college
Drink upwards of 15 drinks nearly every night. Still keep it together.

>few years out now
Ten beers and a blackout is near guaranteed

It's probably just excessive organ damage.

Why would you want to. build up a tolerance? Only makes it more expensive to get drunk.

More like
>binge friday through sunday
>now have PAWS and extreme anxiety for 2-3 days

Fuck physical dependence.

I try to but I always cave around Wednesday or Thursday. Then I drink on Friday or Saturday. I really need to get this under control. 12 cans of beer is plenty. 8 higher content beers is also good. A pint of liquor is plenty.

Drinking to get drunk is for losers. You drink a full bottle so you can enjoy the flavor for longer.

>Drinking to get drunk is for losers.
If that's the case, why don't you pretentious losers make alcohol free versions of you favorite liquors so you can drink them all the time? I thought so.

>> No.6501566

It only takes a few days of heavy drinking for me to get back up to a 1.75 liter a day.

But when I drink, I stay drunk all day long. I try not to drink so often these days, it always turns into a bender and then I'm sick for days and have to stop and stay sober for a week, I've made it up to two months before repeating the cycle

Buzzed is not the same as drunk.
Having said that I agree with your sentiment, the other guy is a dildo.

Or you could just, you know, drink slower. Take your time enjoying it.

I can't stand the taste of alcohol. I got laughed at for throwing up after half a glass of wine at my graduation.
