My roommate has the most disgusting shits in the world. I've never seen him eat anything that isn't chips or fast food (hes not as fast as he should be with his retarded diet) so he get like 0 fiber. Just get some Imodium for your trip. If you don't eat well normally, you're definitely not going to want to try while traveling. I was on a liquid diet after a particularly vicious flu with horrible diarrhea, took an imodium a day, and didn't shit again until I had a perfect one a week later.

Metamucil and its ilk is good for the long term once you get back of course.

I think you can do some meat, and just a little white rice. Bland food. Meat is binding. Just keep it simple, grilled steak or chicken. Take it easy on the fiber and bread. Minimal caffeine, even hydration.

Also, I'd do some Zantac complete, with the calcium factor, and proton pump inhibitor. Calms down the acid production and slows things down.

5-6 times a day, on normal, is actually very bad for you and you need to see a doctor immediately. I learned this recently from a serious bout of stress shits.

If it only comes from stress, then that's a different story. It is not your usual routine.

I have shit/gas problems. Runs in the family. If you have gas as well, take Smithecone. It is an OTC gas relief (literally CVS sells it as Gas Relief) that has a very good chance of constipating you and eliminating bloating.

Just look for the active ingredient list to find Smithecone.

Foods I would say cheese. Copious amounts of cheese. Gummy like things, dairy, breads, a lot of rice, and things with cream consistencies. Just drink water and gatorade to make sure you stay hydrated no matter what.

Sounds like you have IBS-D while I have IBS-C. I would love to be able to poop 5 times a day instead of once every 5 days.

For your trip, I would suggest just immodium. Otherwise, you may need to see your doctor about a diet plan or medication. With IBS, diet is trial and error and may take a while to figure out what works for you. Best of luck.
