Anyways, post your favorite fu/ck/in IPAs.

I thought the most recent Stone Enjoy By 4.20.2015 was off the charts. Two Hearted Ale by Bell's in Comstock, MI is also super good but only out of cans or on draft, bottles are terrible. Senita and Akari Shogun from Half Acre brewing in Chicago are also really solid.

In the long run it really just depends on where you live and how fresh you can get the beer. It also depends on your taste, I prefer a danker, more viscous IPA while some people prefer the dry citrus-y flavors of other IPAs.

When I was about 19 and had only ever drank what we had around at parties, I tried Blue Moon and thought it was the finest stuff on earth. Now I'm over my beer tasting like artificial orange and coriander, but it got me into trying different, exciting flavors in beer. If you're into macro lagers, try a Helles or Kolsch from a respected brewery.

You seem to be interested mostly for the sake of shared interests with your friends, so why not ask them for beer recommendations instead of a Mongolian hentai image board? The point though is that "real ale" is a two word rebuttal to the "...beer" eternally vigilant shitposter. As is "craft keg" another one from the UK market. This. In most parts of culture the classics go back centuries, even in fashion the big name brands go back to early 1900s. But in beer "culture" everyone prefers the IPA fad, which has terrible pop culture branding and immature recipes.

You guys know IPA isn't the only alternative to macro lager, right?

Pale ale has been around since at least as early as 1675,by the 1760s brewers were being advised that it was “absolutely necessary” to add extra hops to beer, We know that pale ale, along with porter, brewer unnamed, was being exported to India from at least 1784.

Small breweries don't necessarily need to hire creative firms, but some clearly do.

Drink any good beer you enjoy then piss in a glass and add rubbing alcohol. Similar or superior to all IPA's I have ever drank. Pic related. The people that usually like them.

yeah you're right. I just don't care for all the extra hops. But I guess it's like when I drink gin and tonic and friends say "how can you drink that shit"?. The answer is threefold. 1- I like, 2-I paid for it, 3- 95% of my friends won't drink it, so at byob parties, they leave mine alone. When I bring bourbon, scotch or vodka, it's gone in a heartbeat and I am left drinking the "whatever was on sale beer" or cheap rum and generic cola someone else brought,

Solid Aussie IPA, not high ABV, not super high IBU, just a good well put together IPA.
