most people in the UK eat quite a lot of pasta.

slag bol is a common one, but macaroni cheese, spaghetti and pesto, penne with various sauces, other shapes are also very common. Look at anyone's shopping basket in a british supermarket, we eat shitloads of pasta.

we also often have it with simple tomato sauces, carbonara, seafood. sometimes pesto. but spag bol is probably the most ubiquitous at least in family households. students get through a lot of pesto and jarred sauce.

we have a pretty good italian food culture here.
