Spent the weekend making besciamella, tomato sauce, braised beef with marsalla caramelized onions mix, poached shrimp with ricotta mix, confit tomatoes, and pasta for 60 cannelloni.
No pic because it's mostly in the freezer until assembly later this week.
I'll probably make polenta with spinach pesto and pancetta hors d'eouvres, but I will have to fly by the seat of the pants within time constraints, so uncertain about that.

It looks so tall and... slippery. I can imagine you trying to smush it together a bit to fit it into your mouth and one of the patties just shooting right out. It's stewing away happily and should be finished in 20 minutes. :3

Should I take pictures after its done today or when I eat it tomorrow?

That looks delicious.

I didn't take any pictures, but I'm off work today so I made some fried plantains with avocado, salsa, and runny eggs as breakfast for my gf who had to work. I also have a batch of bread dough doing it's first rise at the moment. I've only ever made pizza dough, never straight bread, so I dunno how this is gonna turn out.

I hope you don't mean that you ran the tap continuously for ten minutes just so that your pork would defrost a bit faster.

I set the tap to drip a bit, yeah. The water wasn't running.

The bowl I had it in hadn't yet filled with water by the time I got down there to check. By then, it had defrosted just enough so I drained it and coated it with the spices.

Since the bowl holds about a litre and the pork weighs about 500g, I used only about 400ml of water or so to defrost it.

The curry is resting right now before I put it into a container and stash it in the fridge. Need to stir in some fresh coriander but I've none at the moment, which surprises me. I'll step out and nab some in a bit.

for exanple i've seen many people writing defiantly instead of definitely. might be autocorrect shenanigans. still mildly irritating

This was my dinner, salmon and strawberry risotto. It was delicious.

>> No.6449558

I just made spinich and portebello mushrooms. Sateed it in butter and garlic with spices. I didn't eat lunch and was starving. Just threw together whatever I had in the fridge and sounded good together. Next time I'm going to use a oil instead of butter, but I'm not sure how well that will taste. Would definitely make a good side. I almost took a pic but like I said I was too hungry.

where's the salmon?

and putting a cut up strawberry on top of risotto does not make it "strawberry risotto." and it sounds like an awful combination

>> No.6449602

>>6449574
Salmon and strawberry are in the rice. The strawberry on top I added for decoration.
I cut salmon and strawberry into pieces and cooked them partially before putting the rice in the pot and then with the rice The strawberry pieces get completely destroyed, and the salmon pieces are rather small, you can actually see them if you look hard enough.

And the combination is extremely good, it's an italian food (I'm italian), I didn't create it.

Stop acting like an idiot if you have no idea what you're talking about.
