As a security guard at an office building, I constantly watch all the desk monkeys and upper management have shit ordered like party platters full of sushi, boxes of specialty pizzas, and huge portions of Chinese food for their lunch meetings.

They also keep the break room fully stocked with bags of chips and cookies and bars of chocolate and boxes of crackers. There's also a huge pink box full of donuts from the local baker in the middle of the break room every morning.

I take my lunch break outside, just looking at all the food they have makes me extremely depressed that I don't work in their fields.

No money to afford school. No money for the books to school was paid for. Wouldn't have enough money for the extra gas to drive to school if the books were paid for. Nearly everyone who works in this office moved here from out of state. Too fucking expensive to live here thanks to democratic policies.

How is this even a meeting?

Every meeting I've been in involves work plus paper and laptops spread out.

If it's a long meeting we're expected to prepare for one (as in piss and eat beforehand, bring a drink if you want).

These people are just having a private picnic

It all comes crashing down for them eventually.

The true money makers are much higher, investors and Directors, CEO's.
Do almost nothing and receive huge piles of cash.
Between these and the poor fuckers working desks and cleaning bathrooms are the middle managers. They have 'good' cars and waste allowances on shit like this to try and prove to you they're in rolling in cash but in reality they're probably just as well of as you, sometimes less so.

They have to maintain standards in order to keep their job and put on a face.

I'm happy with my job, no politics and I get to have some free time in the day to relax on my PC. I get my work done and take home some tidy pay.

Then I see these guys and see the stress and pity them.

This is a trap. Having attended many meetings I know this is a trap because the food is there to trick you into attending the meeting. Except for the mandatory meetings I avoid these things like the plague since you take the chance there may be food that you do not like such as pizza with flour still on the bottom.
