As odd as this sounds, I buy the stop and shop brand lemon/lime diet soda because it tastes exactly like the green "flavor ice" things I used to love as a kid.

Not sure if this counts, but this is the best lemon flavoured soda I ever had. It's even better than San Pelligrinos Limonata. Super tart and fermented taste.

The best lemon lime soda I ever had when I was on vacation in Mexico. We were visiting my grandma in Guerro, Mexico, and they had this regional soda called Yoli. It was amazing. The sweetness was perfectly balanced and the lemon lime flavor tasted as if someone had just freshly squeezed the damned thing into the the soda.

But then Coca-Cola bought the company, began exporting it everywhere (even here in the US)and changed the recipe so that now it tastes like you're drinking fucking syrup. Fuck you Coca-Cola.
