Voodoo is a doughnut company out in Corvallis Origon that is around OSU. Rogue beers is mostly staffed, to my knowledge, with vitaculture and enology dudes from OSU, and most of them probably ate about a ton of voodoo doughnuts each during their college career. just to give a bit of refrence
also, please please please don't eat things that are "bacon flavored" because they are usually using artificial smoky flavor, I forget the name of the smoky flavor but the stuff degrades into nitrous acid, a very well known mutagen, when digested.

Victoria Bitter is quite cheap but I hate it. Cooper's isn't too bad, and I like their stout. I didn't care for Crown Lager.

My favorite is Renaissance. Their Scotch Ale is probably my favorite beer. I've heard Yeastie Boys, and 8 Wired is good but I haven't tried it.

If you're looking for macrobrewerys, Tui Dark is probably the best from Tui. Other NZ things are boring lagers.

I'm not an expert on beer though.

Renaissance is great, 8 Wired at least at one stage was a side project by the Renaissance brewer.
Yeastie Boys is great, Gunnamatta is an IPA of theirs dry 'hopped' with Earl Grey. They do some pretty out there beers with peated malt which I wouldn't recommend unless you knew what you were getting into. Invercargill I think is pretty good. Garage Project is good but Hops En Pointe, a beer of theirs has distrib here, tidy but dull, especially for the price point.
