I hate that shit so much.
Is it so hard to just say 'savory' and 'texture'?

make chip dip with yoghurt instead of sour cream
you'll notice a difference
that's mouthfeel

just don't say "comfort food"

Not the same thing.

Red wine can have a dry mouthfeel. The texture is still liquid.

Why does it matter? They mean the same thing.

That is not a correct use of the term mouthfeel. The dryness of wine is an aspect of flavor, not of texture.

I've got to agree with this Anon. When I think of wine there can be a roundness, like what you find in malolactic fermented Chardonnay.

But usually when I hear "mouthfeel" the first thing that comes to mind isn't wine, but the kind of squishy, rubbery textures the Chinese go crazy for. Like sea cucumber or duck feet.

Which is kinda funny, being that I'm off to a wine tasting right now.

Why does /ck/ have so many stupid fucks? I know it's 4chan, but this board seems to have a disproportionate number. Do you think you're accomplishing anything or is it entertaining to you if you truly are pretending? Either way, it's just an exaggeration and not a complete fabrication if so.

/ck/ is the worst slow board, and also the worst "cooking" board on the entire internet.

The sad thing is that it isn't. Despite chucklefucks and whatnot, it still has redeeming qualities and can, at times be more fun and interesting than the majority of popular cooking forums. All the intentional blast it with piss does is make those instances more in between. It's not going to stop those who like 4chan or /ck/ from posting.

Because saying "mouthfeel" makes you sound autistic to the max. I would rather be caught saying "chicken tendies" in public than to ever let "mouthfeel" leave my mouth

>> No.6376922

lmao, none of you faggots even work in the business

and if you dont use the term mouthfeel at work, you are a line cook at some fucking chain restaurant

That's nice, but you're wrong. And retarded.

>> No.6376931

Agreed. The term 'mouthfeel' makes me picture severely retarded people feeling pieces of food with just their lips, sort of like chimps. Same with 'veggies' except that's more associated in my mind with preschool teachers. God I hate the word veggies. We need to do like the britbongs and adopt 'veg.' Also fuck people who say a certain ingredient adds a 'good flavor' unless English isn't their native language.
