Hard to say. I used to say Qdoba, hands down, but they removed the barbecue sauce from their list of toppings. No reason to go there any more.

Chipotle and Moe's...I guess I'd have to give it to Chipotle. But not by much. Moe's has its high points and so does Chipotle. If Moe's and Chipotle joined together...Chipotle's meats with Moe's cheese, sauces and toppings...whooooa mama.

I'm in a small town far removed from everywhere, so I don't often get the chance to go to Chipotle even though I love it. Qdoba isn't great but it's fine; scratches the itch.

Wheat tortilla + wheat rice + fajita veggies + double pork + black beans + salsa verde + pico de gallo + lettuce = hella lifting burrito. About a thousand calories, 112g carbs, 63g protein, 16g fat, 26g fiber. If you've got enough fiber already, leave out the tortilla for less carbs.

There is a Freebirds and a Chipotle. The Freebirds has way more options but the ingredients just don't taste as good as Chipotle's IMO.
My local Chipotle tastes great but skimps like fuck on the meat. Last time I went I got 8 chunks.
Now the Chipotle that's in the next city over? Amazing. They load that shit up like they're about to close down and just want to get the rest of the food out. They have to double wrap my burrito every time and I don't even ask for extras.

So Chipotle I guess.

>> No.6339556

I've never had a Chipotle ever wrap a burrito right. Every time I go there, regardless of location, I end up with one side of the burrito having a shitton of rice and the meat and cheese etc being on the other side. So for half the burrito when you bite into it you're just getting a mouthful of rice. Fuck chipotle.

Never been to Moe's or Qdoba.

Daily reminder your local mexican place makes better burritos than any of these fast casual scams.

Our Qdobas beat the competitors (Chipotle; Panchero's) hands down. You gotta remember it isn't your typical fast-food... everything is prepped/cooked in house, so the quality of food depends on the quality of cook, so there's little to no quality control.

Actually most Chipotle food is cooked in house except the barbacoa I believe. That's part of why its so popular. Its obviously not the best tex-mex food ever but it certainly isn't bad and you get like 2 thin people's worth or one obese (ahem like me) person's worth of food for a pretty reasonable price. I just wish their rice and corn salsa didn't have cilantro and their guacamole tastes really weird to me. I usually make guacamole with avocados, lime juice, and a pinch of salt and whole cumin. Man cumin does wonders for guacamole if you are into its unusual flavor profile (aka don't add too much or it ruins your food.

Speaking as someone who has been having five guys since they only had 5 restaurants in the dc area where i am they used to be a bit cheaper. Still more expensive than the competitors but it was worth it and they give you malt vinegar for your fries which is generally how people like them around here (malt vinegar and old bay is just as popular as ketchup).

I guess I didn't phrase that accurately... what I meant was that all 3 joints cook everything in-house... vs. your McDonalds or Taco Bells that have purpose-built equipment to insure that your average retard can cook a Big Mack to the companie's standards... with places like this that isn't the case; some cooking skill set is required which probably speaks to the inconsistencies as to who is the best. The best are the joints with the best crew, because frankly, they all serve the same shit.

>what I meant was that all 3 joints cook everything in-house

Not really.
Taco bells get their meat pre-seasoned and pre-cooked. They just re-heat it. Their condiments, etc, are the same way: they arrive pre-formulated in bulk, they just serve it. About the only thing that's actually "cooked" there is frying off the taco shells, etc.

In comparison, chipotle actually makes their own sauces and whatnot fresh. They cut up the veggies, do the seasoning, etc in the store. The meat comes in raw. they season and cook it the same day it is served. It's actual cooking from scratch, not just "reheat the beef mix".

>> No.6339829

>>6339822
As I said earlier they actually do reheat the beef for the case of Barbacoa but that's because its slow-cooked I believe and so is shipped out from regional commissary (or whatever you call the commercial equivalent) kitchens.
