hello everyone

whats the actual difference between flying goose and rooster brand sriracha sauce?

>> No.6329876

>>6329868
Kinda has a fishy flavor and it's a little less sweet. Also, it's a bit more spicy.

which one?

One is for dirty-ass hipsters and the other is too

>> No.6329897

The rooster brand has a more subtle memey taste.

I don't think hipsters are into things that are as popular as sriracha is

This. Well, I assume you're describing the flying goose brand. I also think it's fishy with less sweetness.

So then is sriracha a type of sauce? I always thought it was the brand name.

Real talk, is sriracha hot chili sauce decent or is it hyped, never seen it in store- might order it off amazon, worth it?

Yup. Sriracha is just an asian chili condiment. The one that is a "meme" condiment is the Huy Fong sriracha sauce with the rooster and green top.

It's pretty good, has a bit of a garlicy taste. Doesn't live up to hype, by any means, but it's a solid chili sauce that has its uses.
You could make better at home pretty easily.

I've tried Kikkoman sriracha, I threw away a bottle of it knowing that I'd never use the rest. It was just over 1/2 full and I hate throwing stuff out.

Shark (Strong) > ??? > Rooster > ??? > Kikkoman

Kikkoman brand is pretty low tier. I'm glad I tried it, I'd have wondered otherwise. It's got this weird off flavor to it, like they put soy sauce in it or something and it's got strange things in its ingredients list. There's nothing strange or weird in Shark brand's ingredients list.

Japs simply don't do sriracha properly, they should just shut up and leave it to the Thai, but they had to get in to the popularity of it here in the USA.

This shit is great, comes from Vietnam and is appropriately HOT, not like a habanero but it has a strong bite and is a good thick consistency

you can find it at Asian markets and Indian places for a dollar if you're not some self-concerned dolt about being seen at anyplace besides Trader Joe's or some shit

the way i've heard it, huy fong is the original or most popular, either way, the owner didnt bother to trademark the name so when his chili sauce became big a lot of companies copied it along with the name
>i prefer huy fong because you know, child hood.

What's appropriatee about HOT from vietnam?
I love hearing this shit from people who don't realize that peppers, all peppers and that includes hot peppers are from the Americas.

Please tell me.

"appropriately" FUCK OFF YOU FAGGOT! We're so used to them here in the Americas that it's not an issue, you used them only after trading with the Americas started to cover up the taste of your rotting meat and vegetables.

Get over yourselves!

>> No.6332403

We in the Americas take hot peppers and all peppers since they're pretty much all good, there are only a few that I don't like. You asians and idians take them as if you invented them, now get the fuck out of town.

They are not the same as paprika, a totally different thing.

They are not the same as pepper, like black pepper, that was a mistake by calling them the same thing... again a different thing.

Just shut up now.
