rate my lunch, queers

>> No.6318511

Why are you slicing it the wrong way?

Could have been a solid 0.5/10 if not for that.

I'll slice you the wrong way, tough guy

Why would you slice it any other way?
Slicing it lengthwise like that gives you a perfectly sized slice to fit on a sandwich

Spam makes me laugh every time I see it, because so many faggots turn their noses up at it, but beat their dicks to the sight of headcheese or other terrine because the Travel Channel said it's good.

>> No.6318935

wish I had some, now. 8/10. would be 9/10 with bread. 10/10 with bread, tomato, beer. nice knife.

>> No.6318962

>>6318920

Well sure. That's because a properly made terrine isn't overcooked, and doesn't taste like half a saltshaker got dumped into it.

There's nothing wrong with the concept of spam. The problem is its implementation: like most canned food, it's overcooked like hell, and it's salty as fuck. And no, I'm not worried about some silly health issues, it simply tastes too damn salty.

>> No.6318985

>>6318962
The saltiness is not what I've heard people complain about. They complain that it looks gross, is made of buttholes and toes, and is clearly no good because it comes from a can.

Which is utter nonsense. All of those things can and often do apply to any number of "gourmet" pate or terrine you'll find the world over.

>> No.6318994

>>6318985
My dad always liked it, so I grew up with it and never really got the chance to think it's gross.

It is extremely salty though, for as long as I can remember we have gotten the reduced sodium kind.

>> No.6318998

It's fine until you bite into a chunk of skull, but that's true of anything.

>> No.6319006

>>6318985

Oh yeah, I agree that the looks, etc, is certainly utter nonsense.

The can thing? I think that's largely relevant. Most canned food is by its very nature overcooked.

A gourmet terrine or pate certainly looks no better than spam does, but if it comes out of a can, it's almost always overcooked.

Is spam the exact same thing as corned beef or are they different?

I've always assumed spam was nasty but then I realised I love the shit out of some corned beef, and it's packaged identically and looks more or less the same (corned beef looks a little fattier, actually)

>> No.6323864

They are completely different. Spam is like a processed ham you would get from the deli except its a lot softer
