not op, but cut them in half. put some canola oil, or other high heat fat of your choice in a frying pan.
get that shit smoking hot. literally, but just barely smoking, not burning.
put your tates in flat side down, then sear for about 45 seconds. oh yeah, your oven should be preheated to like 450 degrees f
throw that shit in and when they are crispy and golden pull them out and remove from the pan.
the stove top part isnt neccesary but for optimum crispity crunch its better
