Yeah, I still check in on /b/ every now and then for nostalgia reasons, but /ck/ has been my home on 4chan for a good few years now. The contrasts are what make it fun. We have a few pros, some folks who really their shit about food and wine, some folks who seriously want to argue about which fast food chain or brand of frozen pizza is the best and a handful of folks who live under rocks and think avocados are "hipster". Round that out with a few international posters to put things in perspective and this place is generally pretty fucking interesting.

It's not like I learn much about food and cooking here, but I sure as fuck learn lots about people's attitudes toward food, which are all over the fucking map.
