konichiwa /ck/
has anyone tried pic related? Do they make it easier to eat fine Japanese cuisine. I'm a bit of a beginner with Japanese food and wonder if they are a good aid to improving my choppystick skills. I am new to foods such as ramens and sushis but would love to learn. Ithought I'd ask here because 4chan has awesome anime cartoon stuff.
Sayanora desu's :-)

eating with chopsticks is so easy that an aid is pretty unnecessary.

Wouldn't something like this make more sense? OP's pic looks like it would squeeze the food out

No, dumbass, the tension holds the sticks apart/open. You apply pressure to close them around food items.

No you're wrong he is right. All the baby chopsticks in Asia are connected at the but have a spacer like in his drawing so you can actually grab food. Chopsticks are not as long as tongs and need the spacer.

But those chopsticks are literally made for 1-4 year olds who barely know where their hands are and don't have the motorskills for real chopsticks. Normal chopsticks take maybe 5 meals to get used to.
