Mcdonalds has the best fries? Agreed?

>> No.6253893

when it comes to classic straight fries, yes.

in the case of all fried potato products, arby's curly fries win.

The idea that ANY fast food place has the "best" fries is confusing to me. Don't you have any local places that make non-mass-produced fries?

There are like 10 places within walking distance of me that are orders of magnitude better than McDonalds, or any other chain for that matter.

>> No.6253917

Nope, that title belongs to Wendy's.

>> No.6253930

Wingstop has the best soggy fries.

Those crispy edges and the seasoning. Makes them easy to drench in the ranch they have (so fucking good, wish I could find it in stores).

>> No.6255996

As long as they don't get lukewarm/cold.
Then you can genuinely taste how shit they are.

Back in the day when McDonald's used to cook their fries in Tallow (beef fat)*, their fries were AMAZING! Even Julia Child's enjoyed them and often stated so.

Imma give y'all some opinions.

McDonalds: most consistently good (when cooked properly - when not they are TRASH). Absolutely disgusting once cold

Wendys: widely regarded as mediocre. Mediocre. I sometimes find myself wishing I had Wendy's fries however

Burger King: widely disliked. My personal favorite of the big 3 [in my area]

Five guys: cajun is TOP TIER. Normal get kinda old but i suppose I have more access to five guys than most people, so I am biased to whatever degree

Cookout: like mcdonalds + five guys averaged together. In the bad ways too

Honorable Mention to Jack in the Box curly fries.

You slice a potato into thin rectangles and fry them, it's not that hard. Lots of restaurants make their own these days, it isn't even expensive. And anywhere that makes their own is way better than anywhere that doesn't, baring complete incompetence.

Stop eating at restaurants that just reheat frozen food for you, Anon.
