Every time I get one, they slather waaaay too much BBQ sauce on it and end up getting it on the outside of the bun. Also many times they have poorly placed the onions to fall out upon the first bite. When prepared right, Mcrib is a solid 7/10 sandwhich

Of course its real, they wouldn't go around claiming it was 100% beef without proving so. Someone would do a composition test and find what it's made of, which I'm pretty sure has been done. What was found was beef and salt.

It's just some shitty "pork" "ribs" with a shit ton of sub par BBQ sauce and some onions. Waste of time and money. Never understood the hype.(people seriously follow them around the country?!)
