How the hell is it supposed to work? It seems like it heats it, but with only a very small surface. Does the pan spin underneath it? And would this be expected to have any benefit over a regular oven? Seems to me it would take longer to cook anything.

Pretty sure it's just a rotary impinger oven. That means high heat and a fan to move the air onto the food to cook it fast. Of course, most commercial impingers are semi-enclosed so it's probably not that efficient, but they do work.

I worked at a pizza place with a full-scale version of this that would cook six pizzas at once.

It was really impractical and took up space that would have been better used for conventional ovens. The owner said that it gave the customers something to look at while they waited for their pizza... which really didn't explain the giant TV on the wall.

My friends and I were cooking a turkey in the oven. The Pizzaz saved the day when we were hungrily waiting.

It actually cooks pretty quickly, it does spin.

had one. It had a heating thing like an oven, those tubes about a centimeter in thickness. One above and below the removable tray. Tray would rotate. had a timer so you don't accidentally burn your house down. no fan on this version.

Pretty convenient. You can put basically anything on there as long as the weight is distributed and it's not too thick. Something pre cooked, or doesn't require much cooking.

Fries, potato wedges, wings... all that appetizer frozen food stuff. I've made subs on there, trying to replicate Quiznos.

Worked fine. I just don't eat that kind of food often, and didn't like it taking up counter space.

It's really nice to have if u will use it regularly. .. The tray is rotary and an absolute pain in the ass to lock in or remove but is detachable. No heat control what so ever just an option to have both the Upper , lower, or both heating elements active as well as a mechanical timer. I like it in spite of the somewhat poor design. .. mostly because it sees so much use.

And if u end up with one get a reusable (cloth like) grocery bag to store the dish when not in use....it's Teflon and will scratch up if not cared for.

Fries potatoes and wings will be OK but a full sub will probably be a fire hazard

my parents had one, it worked pretty well

My grandma had one of these sitting on her shelve for years until my friends bought it from her due to their oven not working.
They haven't ever bothered with getting their oven fixed since between this and a crockpot they have such a wide range of food covered.

It's a decent device. Not as nice as having an oven in my opinion but if you're bachelor tier it's pretty great.
